PALILULA MUNICIPALITY HELPS FIVE YEAR OLD SKENDER TAIR

Humanitarian campaign of Palilula Municipality, City of Nis `Help our Children`, continues daily and donor grants from the account of this Municipality are coming as a kind of help in treatment of heavily ill children from Palilula.

Five year old Skender Tair was a guest of this Municipality with his parents and according to president Boban Dzunic words, the money will be payed down for the continuance of his treatment in Clinical Center, Belgrade.
Palilula Municipality, as one of the poorest municipalities in Serbia with over 80 000 people, started 10 months ago humanitarian action `Help our Children` for collecting of money for the help to the families with very ill children. About 150 letters of invitations were have been sent to politicians, institutions, small and medium enterprises that are active and have their businesses in Palilula and Nis, but also to media. The account for this purpose has been opened for this humanitarian action of Palilula Municipality.

President of the Municipality formed the Commission for the determination of the conditions state and criteria for giving financial help to the families with heavily ill children. According to defined criteria, the Commission divides the monetary resources to these families.

About the importance of this activity for Palilula residents and the City of Nis and its sustainability spoke Boban Dzunic, president of Palilula Municipality.

During this Palilula Municipal action of 10 months duration, the necessary help came to many homes. On this occasion the help was given for the treatment of five year old Skender Tair from Crvena Zvezda settlement. Mirsad Tair did not hide the happiness for the fast reaction of Palilula Municipality and president Dzunic and one term aid.

All interested legal and physical entities can be donors for the action `Help our children` with the payment to the account of Palilula Municipality No 840-2879741-16 that is opened at the Ministry of Finance – Treasury department.

`Our aim is to make this humanitarian action give stimuli to one higher level of humanity and solidarity because in our neighbrhood live children and old people with the problems we are not frequently aware of.`
